Anderson’s

Anderson’s was born in 1966 in Parma, founded by Carlo Valenti, himself descended from a long line of leatherworkers from the region. A passionate Anglophile, Valenti deliberately chose an English name for his house, a nod to Anderson & Sheppard, his favourite tailor on Savile Row in London. This meeting of Italian craftsmanship and British sensibility would go on to define the brand’s identity for decades to come.

Anderson’s at Clusier

We recognize Anderson’s as the ultimate benchmark for quality Italian belts. In the late 1980s, the house launched its multicoloured woven belt, an innovation that completely changed the game for this sometimes overlooked accessory: available in hundreds of colour combinations, it quickly became the brand’s recognizable signature. Each belt requires roughly a hundred manufacturing steps, and every high-quality component is carefully chosen to ensure a flawless product.

The company remains a family affair, still under the direction of Carlo Valenti’s descendants. It continues to manufacture exclusively in Parma with about fifty skilled artisans who produce roughly 200,000 belts a year, or about 600 a day, all handmade. It’s this kind of commitment to quality over volume that truly sets an artisanal house apart from industrial production.

By offering renewed variations each season, while also drawing on its own archives, Anderson’s has managed to stay both classic and innovative. For those looking for the perfect belt to complement an outfit, Anderson’s offers an impressive range without ever sacrificing quality. Come see our models at Clusier—the softness and suppleness of the leathers and suedes are apparent the moment you pick them up.
