It is our conviction that it necessary for businesses to be socially responsible. At CLUSIER, we are continually seeking ways to give back and invest in our community, both locally and abroad. One program that is close to our hearts is Share the Warmth. Located just a stone’s throw away from the store, it was founded in 1990 by a group of women in Point Saint-Charles who recognized the overwhelming needs of the community with regards to food and clothing. Since then, it has expanded its offering due to the evolving needs in the neighbourhood. Support for its work comes from the engagement of their staff and volunteers who are committed to helping people from all walks of life find a path to success. We would love it if you joined us in supporting this wonderful community organisation!
Even the smallest of gestures has a ripple effect that extends far beyond what we can imagine.
Share the Warmth provides youth, food and employment programs – from school supplies, tutoring and music lessons, to a food bank, fruit and veggie market, and work training to people of all ages. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. CLUSIER is particularly interested in their work training program which provides the opportunity for people to gain confidence, enhance their skills, develop life goals, and ultimately prepare them to enter (or re-enter) the workforce. The program includes a second-hand clothing boutique, where a professional wardrobe is accessible at an affordable price. Additionally, the money earned by the boutique goes straight back into funding the training programs.
A Spring clean can change a life for the better!
We encourage you to simply give your wardrobe a Spring clean and bring to CLUSIER the suits you no longer wear. You can do this at any time of the year and we’ll deliver them directly to Share the Warmth, however, we’ll soon be releasing details on our Trade In Your Suit event, where you too can benefit from your generosity.
Awakening hopes and dreams
In the meantime, know that each suit brought in will directly benefit the Share the Warmth community. Your suits will provide confidence, strength and the will to succeed to people needing to integrate or reintegrate the workforce to support themselves and their families. Add to this the knowledge that recycling your clothing is also great for the environment and everyone’s a winner!
