Booze by borough
Alcohol: the social lubricant. These Montreal mixology bars are for the men that have reached that point in their life where drinking is something more: it’s wanting to experience those unique flavours, scents and presentations. From twists on old recipes, to seasonal “must-drinks”, here are some delicious options to bring out your inner Don Draper.
Cold Room
Old Montreal – Corner Saint-Paul E and St-Amable
A one of a kind speakeasy reintroducing atmospheric elements of the 18th century through decor and creative cocktails. Access this hidden-from-tourists place by ringing the inconspicuous doorbell.
La Distillerie no. 1
Plateau Mont-Royal (Multiple locations) – 300 Ontario E
Three locations – open daily – various cocktail menus. All in a vibrant borough and a cozy atmosphere. An appealing alcohol free cocktail menu is also offered.
Bord’Elle
Old Montreal – Boutique Bar and eatery located at 390 rue St-Jacques Ouest
Through three different sections; the grand foyer, the champagne room and the whiskey parlour — Bord’Elle has cocktails created by Montreal’s great mixologist Manny Vides Jr, to pair each room.

Le 4e Mur
Quartier des spectacles – 2021 Saint-Denis
Le 4e Mur has a strong focus on the cocktails. To make it even more of an experience, jazzy burlesque performances are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Henden
Griffintown – 1800 Notre-Dame W
This new one will bring out your inner Hugh Hefner. Located in the undergrounds of the new restaurant ‘Bird Bar’, the inspired playboy mansion speakeasy will have you feeling like you’re wearing a velvet robe, drink in hand.
Agrikol
Gay Village – 1844 Amherst
The food, the people, the rum. This Haitian restaurant has one of a kind dishes and dainty drinks. I highly recommend the special rum and sugar cane traditional mix for two people, or make it for one person if you feel like you’re up for the task.
